U12 Magicians Softball Reaches New Heights
The girls posted their most convincing win yet defeating Ipswich 25-9 on Tuesday.
The U12 Marblehead Magicians put an exclamation mark on their win over the Ipswich Orange Tigers on Tuesday at Bialek Park in Ipswich. The girls scored 16 runs in the final three innings en-route to a 25-9 win.
Sarah Cuffe pitched a complete game for Marblehead, earning her third win of the season. Coach George Shapiro called Cuffe's performance from the circle "dominant."
Leading the Marblehead offense were Lindsey Rae, Alexa Ehrenberg and Alana Goodman, who had three hits each.

Shapiro noted that Goodman "had a very strong game [at second base] with some flawless fielding."
The win brings the Magicians record to 6-0-1, placing them at third place in the 39 team Middle Essex League. Their next opponent is the Lynnfield Blue, who they face-off against on Wednesday at Marblehead High School at 6:15 p.m.
