UUCM donates music workshops to Marblehead Charter School
Radoslav Lorkovic is giving piano workshops at the charter school on November 7. Later that night he plays at the me&thee with Rod Picott.

As part of their “Music in Our Schools” project, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead is sending accomplished musician, Radoslav Lorkovic, to the Marblehead Municipal Charter School on Friday, November 7. The UUCM holds a summer benefit called “All You Need is Love” each summer. The proceeds from this All Beatles benefit go to sending musicians into various schools in town.
As fate would have it, when it became clear that Radoslav Lorkovic was able to make it to Marblehead for this date, a question went out to Adria Smith, music teacher at the Charter School. “Would you be interested in having a pianist come in to do a workshop?” Without hesitation, Adria jumped at the opportunity to have Radoslav come into the school because her students were studying jazz and blues composition. Over the past few years, the UUCM has provided workshops and concerts by Ellis Paul, Anais Mitchell, Tim Mann, Alastair Moock and Kim and Reggie Harris for Adria’s students. She knows how special these events are and how much they are cherished by the students and teachers alike.
