A Valentine's Poem

There were many places we could have lived instead

But it was at rock's end we took up at Marblehead.

We arrived from afar to a home unseen

With the Towne and the Neck in-between

In the summer we meddle down by the shore

In winter winds watch the waves of hoar

Now it is Valentines and we are in our home

But all she wanted was a simple poem

So with these words I send my heart

Happy we are together and not apart
