Vehicle Vandalized and Hood Ornament Stolen

At 8:38 a.m., a child was reported to be locked in a car.

At 11:24 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious situation. Police found it to be a mother and son in a car that had run out of gas. They were awaiting a friend with gas for the car.

At 12:16 p.m., a caller reported a kayak had washed up on the shore.

At 1:19 p.m., a caller reported he paid a contractor for work, but months had passed without the work being done.

At 3:49 p.m., a car backed into a electric pole and knocked it down. The wires were exposed, but not arcing.

At 6:48 p.m., a fire in the vent fan above the stove was reported. Firefighters found the fire to be contained to the fan unit and adjacent cabinet.

At 6:54 p.m., vandalism was reported on Pleasant Street. A screen was torn and empty cans were strewn about.

At 6:58 p.m., a caller reported his car had been vandalized and his hood ornament was taken.
