What's Next for the Fruit of the Four Seasons Building?
Wonder what's going on with the former Fruit of the Four Seasons building on Atlantic Avenue? You're not the only one.
Every week we answer a question submitted by one of our readers as part of our You Ask...Patch Answers column.
On Thursday, we received an email from a local resident who was wondering when they can expect the former Fruit of the Four Seasons to be demolished.
He wrote: "I heard that they will be taking down the Four Seasons sometime this summer - do you know when? I'd love to get it on camera. Thanks!"

According to a representative of Stone River LLC, the company developing the site, the original plan was to have the former home of the Fruit of the Four Seasons on Atlantic Avenue torn down before the end of the winter - but without any prospective tenants, the plan was scratched.

A large sign on the front of the building advertising the available 2,000-square-foot commercial space was recently taken down, prompting some of our readers to speculate that the space had been sold - that is not the case.
The sign was taken down because Stone River is in the process of changing brokers, a representative of the company said Wednesday afternoon.
Late last year Marblehead Planning Board members unanimously granted 34 Atlantic Avenue LLC permission to tear down the former market and build a new building in its place.
The new building will have two separate storefronts facing Atlantic Avenue and plans call for the creation of several new parking spaces along Barnard Street.
