What Women Need to Know About The Law - Presented by "3 Voices"
Attorneys Trista Christensen and Ellen Winkler to be guest speakers on Tuesday, October 16
Marblehead, Massachusetts – Attorneys Ellen Winkler and Trista Christensen will address a range of legal issues of special interest to women during the next “3 Voices” session on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Abbot Library, 235 Pleasant Street in Marblehead.
They will delve into how to determine if you need a lawyer, how to find a lawyer, what a lawyer does and topics including family law, divorce, real estate law, estate planning, financial difficulties, bankruptcy, wills and probate as well as taking questions from the audience.
Winkler has focused her practice in Marblehead in the areas of estate planning and estate administration since 1997, offering an individualized, client-centered approach to planning and administration. Her firm provides estate and tax planning, including multigenerational tax, estate and gift tax planning, wealth preservation, planning for incapacity and for children with special needs, estate and trust administration and related legal matters. Winkler lives with her husband in Swampscott. She is a member of the Marblehead Rotary Club and a Trustee of the Swampscott Public Library.

Christensen, a Marblehead resident, has over 22 years of attorney experience in representing clients throughout Essex, Middlesex and Suffolk Counties in many areas of the law including divorce mediation, personal bankruptcy, family law and real estate transactions. She has had her own law practice in Salem, Massachusetts, since 2004.
Christensen graduated from Marblehead High School in 1988. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Suffolk University in 1992 and her Juris Doctorate Degree from Massachusetts School of Law in 1995. She was raised in Marblehead and has been a resident of Marblehead and Salem all her life. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor and lives in Marblehead with her husband.

Following the formal program, there will be light refreshments and an opportunity for conversation.
This session is the second event in the fall series. The third event will be Tuesday, Nov. 13, focusing on what women need to know for financial security with guest speaker Becky Linhart.
3 Voices seeks to empower women of all ages to speak and act with authority by providing coaching in multiple formats to varied audiences. “We thank Abbot Library, The League of Women Voters and MHTV for their continued support of these important programs,” said Judy Gates, founder of 3 Voices.
