14-Vehicle Crash On I-495 Stops Traffic
Two separate crashes in the north and southbound lanes of I-495 happened just before 7 p.m. Friday near Marlborough.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — Fourteen vehicles were involved in two separate crashes along I-495 near Marlborough on Friday night. Luckily, there were "no significant injuries," state police reported.
The first crash happened in the southbound lanes near the I-290 interchange involving 10 vehicles. Minutes later, state police reported a second crash in the northbound lanes near I-290 involving four vehicles.
As of 6:50 p.m., only the breakdown lane was open heading southbound, and only one lane was open heading northbound.
