2 Arrested In Marlborough For Psychedelic Drugs, Marijuana

A traffic stop led police to find psychedelic mushrooms, suspected LSD and marijuana in a car.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A traffic stop in Marlborough led police to arrest two people Tuesday morning on drug possession charges, according to police.

Just before 11 a.m., a Marlborough officer checked a license plate on a Hyundai parked along Route 20 near I-495. The officer discovered the registration had been revoked, and the license plates belonged to a different car.

While police were towing the vehicle, they found psychedelic mushrooms, suspected LSD, and marijuana in the car.

A 22-year-old man from Franklin was arrested on four drug possession charges. A 19-year-old woman from Buzzards Bay was arrested on motor vehicle charges, plus four drug possession charges, according to police.

The pair had bought the drugs in Marlborough and were planning to sell them in Franklin, police said.
