After Three Years of Construction, Assabet Valley Celebrates Its Grand Re-Opening
Celebrate the grand re-opening of the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, the culmination of a $62.4 million renovation project.

For three years, Assabet Valley Regional Technical High has been working on a $62.4 million renovation project, updating the 42-year-old building with new heating, cooling, plumbing and wiring, windows and doors, new life safety systems (fire alarms system), a new security system with cameras, a new roof, new multi-purpose science labs, and becoming more handicap accessible.
The Massachusetts School Building Authority covered 53.5 percent of the cost, said the announcement, with the member towns contributing the rest.
“Staff and students have endured the construction ramifications of accidental fire alarms, power outages, shuffled classrooms, and spotty internet with patience, knowing that the end result would be well worth the effort, and the delivery of quality education did not miss a beat,” said the release.
