This “quirky” little dog needs a home. Like his name-sake from TV (Big Bang Theory), Sheldon is a little quirky…but in a good way! At eight months old, this adorable Chihuahua tilts his head up high when he hears a voices or a whistle and still has some puppy behaviors, tripping over his own feet or chewing on things he shouldn’t. And his slightly awkward, prancing gait just adds to his charm. Because of poor vision in one eye (the other is fine) and a minor neurological issue, Sheldon goes up stairs more safely than down, but since he’s only seven pounds, it’s easy to carry him, and he can go down himself if it’s just a few steps. He’s a smart pup who needs just a little extra patience.
Sheldon was found wandering the streets of Boston and taken into a foster home in Marlborough with three resident dogs. Although he is startled by cars that whiz by and sudden loud noises, this doesn’t stop him from happily greeting everyone he meets on walks, dancing around, trying to get another dog or a person to engage. He’s quiet in his crate and riding in the car. He’s neutered, fully vetted and working on house training. At puppy nap time and in the evening, Sheldon falls asleep on your lap or next to you on the couch, staying close for comfort and companionship.
