Assabet Valley Regional Technical Students Help Brighten Lives
The Assabet Business Technologies program made the holidays a little brighter for families in the Marlborough area.

From Assabet Valley RTHS: Once again, the Assabet Business Technologies program made the holidays a little brighter for 98 needy children in the area. Mrs. Donna Groccia, lead instructor in the program, contacted SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council) for a list of names, sizes, and wish lists for local children whose families may be having a hard time with the holidays.
The students make a database and match the children with Assabet volunteers. Thanks to Assabet's generous students and staff, each child was 'adopted' and the gifts were assembled and delivered by the Business Tech students. The Assabet Auto Collision program offered $20 per vehicle detail jobs to the staff, and all that money was also donated to the Aztec Wishes program for gift cards for groceries and gasoline to share with those families.
The spirit of giving lives on at Assabet, year after year, thanks to the database management skills and big hearts of the students and instructors in the Business Tech program!
