Back To School: Marlborough 2021-22 School Calendar

MARLBOROUGH, MA — It may feel like the school year just ended, but back-to-school season is just under a month away.

Marlborough Public Schools have published the 2021-22 school year calendar to help parents prepare for the first day of school, plus events like days off and vacation dates.

The first day of school for Marlborough students in grades 1 to 12 is Sept. 1, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students return Sept. 9, according to the district calendar.

Here is the list of dates to know for the 2021-22 Marlborough school year:

• Sept. 22 — Early release day
• Oct. 11 — Columbus Day, no school
• Oct. 20 — Early release day
• Nov. 2 — Election Day, professional development day
• Nov. 11 — Veteran’s Day, no school
• Nov. 24 to 26 — Thanksgiving recess
• Dec. 8 — Early release day
• Dec. 24 to 31 — Holiday recess
• Jan. 1 — New Year’s Day
• Jan. 3 — School resumes
• Jan. 17 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, no school
• Jan. 18 — Professional development day
• Feb. 21 to 25 — President’s Day/winter recess
• March 16 — Early release day
• April 18 to 22 — Patriots Day/spring recess
• May 30 — Memorial Day, no school
• June 5 — Marlborough High School Graduation
• June 16 — 180th day of school
• June 20 — Juneteenth
• June 21 to 24 — Weather make up days
