AMSA’s Botball Robotics team, the Eaglebotz, visited UMASS Lowell in April for the regional robotics competition. The team worked for twelve weeks to engineer and code two robots in preparation for this regional tournament.
At the competition, the Botball team showed off their presentation and coding skills to prove them a force to be reckoned with. AMSA placed first for the team’s Onsite Presentation, analogous to a technical paper presentation, and won third place overall out of twenty-three other teams.
During the actual competition, AMSA’s robots battled against others to complete certain tasks. This involved offensive and defensive strategies that the team needed to anticipate in their coding. AMSA’s team won third place overall for their performance during this portion of the competition.
