Boy Scout Troop Celebrates 90th Anniversary With 90th Eagle Scout

Troop 1 Mendon is proud to recognize Thomas Cavanaugh as their 90th Eagle Scout. Troop 1 Mendon was established 90 years ago this year, so it is with great pride that they are able to have their 90th Eagle before they close out the year 2016. Pictured are dad Thomas Cavanaugh, Eagle Scout Thomas J. Cavanaugh, mom Patricia Cavanaugh and sister Julie Cavanaugh. To become an Eagle Scout, Tommy had to earn a minimum of 21 merit badges, of which Tommy earned 31 badges. He had to stay active for six months after receiving the title as a Life Scout, follow the Scout Oath and Scout Law in daily life, and complete an Eagle Scout Leadership Project.
