OVER $176,000 RAISED AT BOYS & GIRLS CLUB’S ANNUAL GALA

WBZ-TV’s Paul Burton Helps Raise Funds for Local Kids & Pays Tribute to Honorees

Framingham, MA – On October30, 2014, the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest held the 2014 Bids for Kids Auction & Gala at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel. Guests, sponsors, and honorees attended and participated in an extensive silent auction and raffle, as well as the Fund a Need portion of the evening, helping to raise a record $176,000 to benefit the quality out-of-school programs offered by the organization. Celebrity emcee Paul Burton of WBZ-TV was a crowd pleaser in his first year hosting the event. Having grown up in Framingham, Burton shared with the attendees the importance of supporting the kids of MetroWest Massachusetts.

“I want to thank all of our outstanding sponsors and supporters who helped make this year’s gala a tremendous success,” said Fran Hurley, President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metrowest. “The evening’s theme was: Clubopoly - and thanks to our great supporters, we are able to provide the opportunity for a strong future to over 750 kids each day in the MetroWest community.”
