Marlborough Boys & Girls Club youth creating masterpieces with computers
Boys & Girls Club offers summer learning and fun!

Technology Camp is currently underway at the Boys & Girls Pleasant Street Clubhouse in Marlborough and will continue till August 19. A group of 14 campers are learning Photoshop picture editing, Bryce 3D landscape design, and MIT Scratch Software that allows them to create their own video games. Campers use a great amount of imagination during their time in the technology center and create amazing digital works of art. Marlborough club alum Dominique and club staff member Ashley are running the Technology Camp. They enjoy helping the kids learn valuable computer skills and watch them have fun doing it!
The favorite activity of each week among campers is always the LEGO Robotics program. Boys & Girls members learn how to build robotic cars, fans, planes, carousels and elevators out of LEGOs and program them with the computer to move their inventions around. During competitions, campers use a lot of math skills and data collection to get their robot to complete tasks or follow a map.
It will be exciting to see the amazing creations that emerge from the Technology Camp throughout the rest of the summer!
