The 3rd Annual Marlborough Triathlon  took place Sunday July 10, at Fort Meadow Reservoir and marked yet another successful addition to the region's sporting calendar. 287 triathletes participated in the swim/bike/run event. Peter Mallett, 28, from Manchester, NH was Pro/Elite Male Winner and Jess Barton, 22 from Newton, MA Pro/Elite Female Winner. Said one participant, "I was so impressed with the way the race went yesterday. Everything from packet pick up to the volunteers, police and traffic detours, to the first water stop at the top of the hill… all truly spectacular!" Another triathlete called the  route "a fun course that holds your attention."
