Being a shop owner, I have the pleasure of working with people who share my passion for art, and I love when people come in and chat. They share stories of their life with me and it is one of the very nice things about running the art center. All the people I have come to know are from so many different backgrounds but some of them share a sad, common thread with me. I have heard many stories over the past few years of their struggles with cancer. Chemotherapy, radiation, loss of loved ones. All of the struggles associated with fighting cancer, or knowing someone who is fighting for their life.

Artists tend to be very giving people and when I have fundraisers at Post Road Art Center they come running to donate and be part of event. They give of themselves, their time, their art, and their money. People from out of state participate in the auctions and all for a common goal: the hope of finding a cure.

Over the years people have shared so many stories about cancer, that this year I have decided to , a multi-day bicycle ride across Massachusetts, to help the Dana-Farber Institute and The Jimmy Fund raise money for a cure.
If you are interested in supporting this goal, please consider sponsoring my ride, check out my page on the PMC site and take up the challenge with me. PMC makes it easy to donate online and provides alternative options if you choose, and you'll receive a receipt for next year's taxes. Thank you so much in advance for your generosity!
