Cannabis Retailer Wants To Open Marlborough Store
An adult cannabis store, Vedi Naturals, has applied to open in a Marlborough shopping plaza.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — A cannabis company has applied to open an adult retail store along Route 20 in Marlborough, according to an application submitted to City Council. Clinton-based Vedi Naturals would open a 2,350 square-foot store at the Twin Boro Plaza near the Northborough town line.
If approved, Vedi Naturals would be the second adult use cannabis store in Marlborough. Garden Remedies opened an adult use and medical store at 416 Boston Post Road in June. According to state records, the owner of Vedi Naturals is Jigar Patel of Clinton.
On Dec. 10, the Marlborough Building Department denied the retailer's application citing city code. The denial advised Vedi Naturals that the owner would have to ask for a special permit via City Council. The application was presented to Council on Monday night.
