Car Crash Knocks Out Power for More Than 3,000 Customers in Marlborough

Crews responded to a car accident on Hosmer Street on Wednesday morning.

MARLBOROUGH, MA— A car accident on Hosmer Street Wednesday morning, knocking power out to more than 3,000 National Grid customers.

Around 8:15 a.m., a vehicle hit a pole at 103 Hosmer St., hitting a guide wire to that pole, reports iAlerts1. Rescue crews responded, and EMS evaluated.

According to National Grid, as of 10 a.m., 158 customers were still without power, with an estimated restore time of 12:45 p.m.

The area of Hosmer Street and Kingsview was closed shortly before 9 a.m. to traffic, and drivers are advised to follow detour signs.
