Opening will mark fourth UMass Memorial-affiliated center for growing New England urgent care chain

CareWell Urgent Care today announced the opening of a new UMass Memorial-affiliated center in Marlborough on Monday, September 12, 2016. The center, located at 757 Boston Post Road, will provide area residents with an integrated health care solution, serving patients based on their individual needs for non-life-threatening injuries, colds, flu, infections, fractures, cuts, rashes, allergic reactions, and skin issues among others.
“We’re excited to open our fourth center in affiliation with UMass Memorial Health Care and 16th center in New England,” said Shaun Ginter, CEO of CareWell Urgent Care. “We recognize the importance of this heath care service and are proud to work with UMass Memorial to increase access to on-demand, high quality, and affordable health care for communities across MetroWest and Central Massachusetts.”
Through this affiliation, UMass Memorial Health Care can refer appropriate patients to nearby CareWell clinics, reducing wait times and costs for non-urgent illnesses and injuries. CareWell clinics are located in close proximity to UMass Memorial Health Care hospitals, ensuring these referrals can be made quickly and conveniently. The Marlborough center will be located within 3.2 miles of UMass Memorial-Marlborough Hospital.
