CaRMaH Cat of the Week, Fancy Pants!!

I’m Fancypants. Yeah, it’s not a dignified name, but my people call me that because I have long white socks on my back legs. I am simply gorgeous – sweet small face, large cheeks, and a big, thick body – I’m all muscle! I was supposed to be a barn cat – I was a kitten trapped too late for taming, and was very shy. My barn was great – had buddies, food, shelter. But, I was just not good at it. I’d roll on the sand on the road, or chase my buddies in front of cars. So, my caretaker took us in for taming. I am the slow bloomer. I’m coming closer all the time with treats, even taking them from her hand. I am also always close by, in case she rattles the treat bag. One time, she was able to hold me in her arms like a baby – after the initial shock, I just loved it. But, it’ll be a bit before I get that close again. I need a home that will allow me to tame and grow as a family companion. I do get along well with other cats, and would be a great companion for one, shy or bold. I’m about 10 months old, and in grand health.

OUR KITTEN POLICY: Kittens under the age of 6 months need other cats for social development and fewer behavioral problems - and they keep each other company when people aren't around. So, we adopt out kittens in pairs, or with their charming momcats, or into home already having a young or active cat.
