CaRMaH Cat of the Week, Gemma!

CaRMaH is your Hudson-Marlborough area resource for adopting a great cat into your home and family.

I'm Gemma and I'm a delightful cat with just a bit of cattitude. People are my priority, and my foster person says I'm a PURR factory. I like to follow her around and snuggle with her. Months ago, I was found outdoors. Now I appreciate being an indoor kitty, living quite a pampered life.

I'm ok with other cats, but I'd love to try living as an only cat and shower you with affection. If I do live with other cats, I can sometimes be food aggressive - I guess that's a leftover piece of living the outdoor life. But Carmah has some suggestions about how to re-focus me so that I can learn to share a little better. I might also be ok with dogs, especially kind ones who like cats.

I'm young and playful, about 2 years old, have had a full dental cleaning, and I'm in fine health. I am FIV+ but it is perfectly safe for me to mix with FIV-negative cats - read this for more information.

Don't you think I'd look good in your lap?

All of our cats are tested for FeLV/FIV, up to date on vaccinations, and spay/neutered before adoption. The adoption fee is $200 for kittens or $125 for adults, apply at www.carmah.org. The best, and fastest way to reach us is e-mail: adoptacat@carmah.org .OUR KITTEN POLICY: Kittens under the age of 6 months need other cats for social development and fewer behavioral problems - and they keep each other company when people aren't around. So, we adopt out kittens in pairs, or with their charming momcats, or into home already having a young or active cat.
