City Announces Fourth Annual Intern Program for College Students

Formally known as the Public Service Internship Program, Marlborough’s Mayor Arthur Vigeant proposed the initiative for this summer intern program for college students four years ago.

He announces that it will be happening once again. Since its inception, this program has provided real world employment experience to more than 40 college students.

“I am very proud of our summer intern program and the opportunity it provides college students to gain valuable experience in their chosen field,” said Mayor Vigeant in a release. “For many future college graduates, internships play a key role in giving them an edge in the hiring process.”

The internship program is open to all area college students who are enrolled in courses of study. Preference is given to Marlborough residents, but all interested students are encouraged to apply.

The deadline to apply is Friday, May 15.

Applications may be picked up in person at the Marlborough Public Library or the Mayor’s Office in City Hall. It is also available for download on the city’s homepage under the “Quick Links” section.
