Connecticut Man Killed In Marlborough Crash
State Police said a 24-year-old Lowell man rear-ended Lee Johnson's car, causing him to enter the median and roll-over.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Connecticut man was killed in a two-car crash on Route 290 in Marlborough, according to State Police. Police identified the man as Lee Johnson, 55, of Oakdale, Connecticut. Around 7:15 a.m., Tuesday, a 24-year-old Lowell man driving on Route 290 eastbound near exit 26 rear-ended a 2011 Ford Escape, causing the car to enter the median and rollover, State Police said.
Johnson was rushed to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, where he was pronounced dead. His passengers, a 22-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy, were taken to Umass Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries. The Lowell man was taken to Marlborough Hospital with minor injuries.
State Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
