I have spent the past 17% years serving the City of Marlborough and it is something that I have loved every single day. I have enjoyed working with all of the current and former members of the City Council as well as Mayor Vigeant, and three (3) former Mayors in a collaborative way to ensure that Marlborough will prosper for generations to come.
I am extremely proud of the work that we have accomplished over the last two decades. I am proud to know that I have been a part of moving Marlborough in a positive direction. I have worked on so many important issues over the years. As a member of the City Council, we have all worked to ensure that Marlborough is the great place to live, work and raise your family. Knowing this made the difficult decision to resign a bit easier.
This was not a decision I came to lightly but it was after serious thought, consideration and help from my family and friends. I know that this opportunity will allow me to continue to serve the residents of Marlborough in a new and exciting way. I am very excited to begin this new chapter of my life and I am especially grateful to be able to continue serving the senior community as I have over the past 12 years.
In closing I would like to thank the residents of Marlborough for entrusting me with the honor of representing them. I would also like to thank the all of the current and former elected, appointed officials, and the dedicated current and former employees of our city. It has been my honor to serve with all of these devoted and committed people. I would be remiss if I did not thank the most important people in my life, my family. Without the support that my husband Tom, my sons Drew, Coleman and Oliver have given me throughout both my political and professional career, I would never have been able to do the important work that I do and look forward to continuing to do!
Sincerely,
- Patricia A. Pope
