Marlborough’s car show on historic Main Street will take place Sunday, June 2 from 9:00-2:00 (rain date June 23). Now in its fifth year, the show has become a much-anticipated community event for downtown Marlborough. It is also a highlight for car enthusiasts because it allows them to show off their rides with an backdrop of an historic thoroughfare, rather than in a parking lot or grassy field typical of most car events. This year’s persistent winter has car owners champing at the bit to dust off their Dodges, Fords and Chevys and hit the show circuit, and Marlborough’s is one of the first of the season.
Hosted by United Brethren Masonic Lodge of Marlborough and the Push Rods Car Club of Waltham, the entire family will enjoy this free, fun event, featuring classic tunes by DJ Dr. Dom, a raffle, hot dogs, ice cream, and nearly 200 classic, muscle cars and hot rods. While Main Street will be closed to traffic during the show between Newton and Bolton, downtown business will be open and participating in the festivities.
Show car owners may register onsite starting NO EARLIER than 8:00 am Sunday at Main and Newton Streets for a $10 suggested charitable donation. This year, proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warriors project as well as Shriners Hospitals for Children.
