Forum on Bullying, Depression Held Monday
John Halligan will talk about the loss of his son, Ryan, to suicide, after being bullied.
The Marlborough Public Schools is holding a bullying, cyberbullying and youth depression forum on at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 31, at the Whitcomb Middle School Auditorium, 25 Union St. in Marlborough.
The guest speaker is John Halligan of Essex Junction, VT. His 13-year-old son, Ryan, committed suicide in October 2003, after being bullied by other students at school and online.
All Marlborough community parents/guardians of students grades PK to 12 are invited to attend.

Halligan’s presentation will cover the lessons learned too late for his family regarding how to deal with bullying, cyberbullying, and teen depression, according to a press release. Parents will be empowered with strategies to take preventive actions with their own children.
