"Adam was a cheerful, sarcastic, funny, generous and lasting friend to all," Cummings wrote in the appeal. "He could be seen supporting Preston at a baseball game or being Evelyn's No. 1 gymnastics fan. Adam was an involved and adored father to Preston and Evelyn. He will be missed deeply by everyone."
As of Monday, the fundraiser had raised just over $36,000 toward the total goal.
