Gas With E-ZPass Comes To Marlborough, Framingham Stations

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Drivers in the Marlborough area can try out a new way to pay for gas, and get a discount for doing so.

The company PayByCar is allowing drivers to use E-ZPass transponders to pay for gas at select gas station. Anyone who signs up for the system can get a 30 cent per-gallon discount when filling up at the Alltown Mobil at 656 Boston Post Road East — plus more than a dozen others in the area.

"Gas purchases do not get applied to the customer's [E-ZPass] toll account. Instead, the gas purchase is charged to the payment card the customer uses when enrolling on the PayByCar website www.mypaybycar.com. Drivers without a toll transponder can request PayByCar to provide a free PayByCar Smart sticker, a non-toll RFID tag," the company explained in an news release this week.

You can use PayByCar at the following Alltown gas stations in the area. These stations are also offering the 30-cent discount on a maximum of 20 gallons of gas for up to five visits.
