Giving Back through Yoga

Restorative Yoga class by cash donation to support Marlborough Public Library -- and you!

Join local yoga teacher Tory J. Nash on Thursday, September 25 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm for a Restorative Yoga class by cash donation to the support the work of the Marlborough Public Library. Class will be held at Earthsong Yoga which is located in downtown Marlborough at 186 Main Street, second floor.

Why practice Restorative Yoga? Taking time to relax deeply is essential to maintaining health and well-being. By sinking into a restorative yoga practice you unravel the damaging effects of chronic stress such as headaches, fatigue, memory loss, poor digestion, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease. Just to name a few!

A Restorative Yoga practice is appropriate for everyone! It is a very gentle series of passive postures supported with lots of props. The idea is to be able to rest without effort. Our aim in this practice is to release deeply held tension. By doing so we access the body’s natural state of rest and healing – the Relaxation Response. In this state blood pressure decreases, digestion and immunity improves and an overall sense of well-being is restored. Class will leave you relaxed and renewed with your batteries completely recharged.
