Go Back to Christmas On the Farm in 1916: Marlborough Historical Society Holiday Event

MARLBOROUGH, MA — It's your chance to "travel back in time" 100 years for Christmas at the Farm 1916.

On Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Marlborough Historical Society is hosting a special holiday event at the Peter Rice Homestead.

“Christmas at the Farm 1916” features period-appropriate costumes and decorations, and refreshments, all grounded with vintage articles and interesting facts about what was going on around Marlborough and around the world that year, according to an announcement.

"This was the last Christmas before our country joined Europe in The Great War, and family time may have felt particularly poignant," wrote the Historical Society on its Facebook event page.

This is also a fundraiser to support local historic preservation, with a $5 donation for each adult.
