Ham Radio Flea Market Coming To Marlborough
The nonprofit FEMARA is bringing its big ham radio expo back to Marlborough in 2022.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A large ham radio exposition will return to Marlborough in 2022 for the second time. The HamXposition event will take place in August at the Best Western.
On Monday, the Marlborough City Council on Monday approved a special license for a charitable flea market to be held alongside the exposition featuring radio parts.
HamXposition, organized by the Littleton-based nonprofit FEMARA, was held in Boxborough between 1978 and 2019. The nonprofit moved the location to Marlborough for the first time in 2021, and plans to hold the convention here for the foreseeable future.

Ham or amateur radio is an extremely popular hobby where builders use radio frequencies to chat and play games. Ham radio operators also serve as a backstop if regular emergency communications systems fail.
"People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It's fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need," according to the National Association for Amateur Radio.
