Hudson Woman is Volunteer of the Year at Marlborough Hospital's Annual Luncheon
Marlborough Hospital held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.

Marlborough Hospital held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at the Marlborough Country Club on April 22.
Each year during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, the hospital honors and thanks volunteers for their service and dedication to the hospital.
“Volunteers at Marlborough Hospital are dedicated individuals who provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients and families while sharing their time, talent and enthusiasm,” said Steve Roach, president and CEO, in the announcement. In 2014, 155 volunteers gave 17,620 hours of their time to the hospital.

At the luncheon, Rita Goldsberry of Hudson was named the Volunteer of the Year. A volunteer since 2012, Rita volunteered 555 hours last year as a greeter at the hospital’s front desk and as a volunteer in the hospital’s Well Wishes Gift Shop, said the release.
“Rita is a warm and friendly greeter and makes our patients, families and visitors feel welcomed,” stated Mary Ann Stein, director of Volunteer Services. “She is so helpful and willing to assist everyone who walks through our main entrance.” At the luncheon, each hospital volunteer received a certificate in recognition of their hours of service as well as pins were given to those who achieved milestones of hours volunteered. Lifetime Achievement Awards were given to Mark Cross, Frances Brescia and Gloria Pakus.
