ICYMI: 10 Dates You Need to Know on the Marlborough School Calendar

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The 2016-2017 school year is almost here, and while students may be dreading it, the time has come to make preparations for the upcoming school year.

Students are due back in Marlborough schools on Tuesday, Aug. 30, for 1-12, and Wednesday, Aug. 31, for kindergarten. The return is immediately followed by another break, with no school Friday, Sept. 2, or Monday, Sept. 5 (Labor Day).

Here are ten other important dates on the Marlborough public schools calendar that you should be aware of during the first few months of the year.

1. Sept. 15: early release day, grades PK-12
2. Sept. 22: MHS curriculum night
3. Oct. 10-11: no school
4. Oct. 13: Jaworek, Kane & Richer Curriculum Night
5. Nov. 8: no school
6. Nov. 11: no school, Veterans' Day
7. Nov. 14: Whitcomb parent-teacher conferences
8. Nov. 17: Jaworek, Kane & Richer, MHS Parent-Teacher Conferences
9. Nov. 23-25: Thanksgiving recess
10. Dec. 26-30: holiday recess
