ICYMI: Assabet Student From Shrewsbury Named Miss New England

Elliana Davis is Miss New England.

SHREWSBURY, MA—Elliana Davis, a Shrewsbury senior from cosmetology at Assabet Valley Technical High School in Marlborough, was named Miss New England at a pageant on March 28 in the teen division.

"There were three judges, and we each had to have a private interview with each judge," said Davis in a statement. "Mainly they asked about our future plans, so I was able to tell them that I have committed to Framingham State University. I want to major in Business Management and Accounting, and I will probably work at a salon to help with expenses. Graduating with my state license will certainly be helpful with that."

In the background categories, Davis, who said that pageants are "important" to her, was also chosen as first runner up in the dance category.
