ICYMI: Marlborough, Hudson Offering Free Women's Self-Defense Class
Students gain empowerment, confidence, and skills to help them to feel safer in their public and private lives.
MARLBOROUGH, MA—Marlborough Community Development Corporation is partnering with the Marlborough and Hudson Police Departments to offer a R.A.D. Women’s self defense classes this fall.
The six week program, meeting once a week for two hours, is free to participants and space is limited. Interested individuals should contact women@strongcommunity.org for more details and to register, go here.
Women’s self-defense training is offered to women of all ages. Students gain empowerment, confidence, and skills to help them to feel safer in their public and private lives. Women aged 15-99 can be taught to avoid dangerous situations, learn physical moves specifically geared towards women using both classroom presentations and physical instruction. Offered in a 6 session workshop, which includes an aggressor simulation during the last session. Classes are taught by certified R.A.D. instructors.
