MA Judge Tells Police 'You Can't Arrest Me:' Report
The Worcester Superior Court judge is facing a domestic assault and battery charge and tried to use her judgeship to avoid arrest.
HUDSON, MA — A Worcester Superior Court judge was on the other side of the bench on Monday, facing a charge of domestic assault and battery. The judge, Shannon Frison, was arrested in Hudson on Sunday and accused of grabbing her wife by the hair during an argument — according to MassLive, Frison told police, "I'm a superior judge, you can't arrest me — let me go," while she was being arrested.
A police report obtained by MassLive said the judge told officers she had to be in court in Worcester in the morning as she complained about the arrest. The outlet reported that Frison followed her wife down their street in Hudson in her BMW during the argument — Frison's wife was holding the couple's four-year-old child at the time.
Frison's wife told police the judge grabbed and yanked her hair, leading her to storm off and subsequently be followed by Frison.
