Malrborough Teacher of the Year is Lindsay Castro

Kane School Adjustment Counselor nominated by peers and selected by Marlborough Masons

Kane School Adjustment Counselor Lindsay Castro (second from right) was selected last month as Marlborough’s Teacher of the Year for 2019. The honor is bestowed annually by Marlborough’s United Brethren Lodge of Freemasons. They City’s school superintendent selects finalists from nominations submitted by teachers and staff across the school system, and the Masons conduct interviews to choose the winner. Award criteria include: commitment to continuing education and improved performance; desire to help students succeed; involvement with students beyond regular school-day activities; on-the-job performance; and community involvement.
