Man Charged After Rampage In Marlborough Apartment

The 22-year-old pointed a knife at a woman and hit another man with a baseball bat, police said.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A 22-year-old Marlborough man is facing multiple charges after an apparent rampage inside a Briarwood Lane apartment late Wednesday night.

According to police, Jerome Burton, of Framingham Road, was drunk and armed with a knife and a baseball bat when he went to his friend's home at the Heights at Marlborough Apartments.

When Burton entered the apartment, he pointed a knife at a woman who he was friends with, and then hit a man in the arm with a baseball bat. Burton then began smashing items inside the home, police said.

Marlborough police arrested Burton at the home just before midnight. He was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and vandalism.
