MARLBOROUGH, MA — A 61-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after he went to Marlborough High School for what he thought would be a sexual encounter with a 13-year-old girl, according to police.

Near 2 p.m. Saturday, Marlborough police went to the high school after getting a tip that the man had exchanged sexual messages with a teen girl named Summer — who in reality was someone posing as the 13-year-old, according to police.

"The source provided all chat logs to the department detailing the sexual advances [the man] wanted to perform when they meet," Marlborough police spokesman Sgt. Zachary Attaway said.
