Marlborough 2023 Tree Lighting Festival: Music, Santa, Petting Zoo

Kick off the holidays in Marlborough on Friday at the city's tree lighting festival.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Christmas season begins on Friday in Marlborough.

The city's annual tree lighting ceremony will take place Friday evening, and there's going to be a lot to see and do.

The festivities begin at 6 p.m. in and around Union Common. Residents can enjoy a petting zoo, hot chocolate, popcorn and candy canes. Music will be provided by the Marlborough High School choral groups and the high school jazz ensemble and symphony orchestra.

The main event around the tree lighting will feature a special appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and Mayor Arthur Vigeant. The tree lighting ceremony will wrap up around 8 p.m., according to the city.
