Marlborough Challenges Residents With Scarecrow Contest
The winning scarecrows will be featured in the city's Horribles Parade before Halloween.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Whether you like them scary, sweet or silly, local scarecrow builders will get to show off their skills in Marlborough this Halloween season.
Marlborough Recreation is giving out wooden frames to residents who want to build a scarecrow. The scarecrows will be displayed at the upcoming Horribles Parade in the downtown area, and the three best creations will win prizes.
To enter the all-ages contest, pick up a frame at the Marlborough Recreation Department at 239 Concord Road. Scarecrows must be returned by Oct. 22 in order to be on display at the Oct. 28 Horribles Parade at Union Common. Builders will get to keep their creations following the parade.
