Marlborough City Hall Internship Program Open To Applicants

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough is now accepting applications from local college students for Mayor Arthur Vigeant's public service internship program. The program is open to all local college students, including those who live outside the city.

Mayor Arthur Vigeant is pleased to announce that applications are now available for the 9th annual city of Marlborough Public Service Internship Program. Proposed by Mayor Vigeant during his first term in 2012, this initiative has been supported by the Marlborough City Council each year since inception. To date, the Public Service Internship Program has provided real world employment experience to over 100 college students.

"The City of Marlborough is dedicated to helping students thrive from their first day in preschool through finishing their education and become contributing members of our community," Vigeant said in a news release. "These types of opportunities help our students figure out what they would like to do after graduation and show them what it is like to be in the workforce. For the last eight years, I have been proud of this program and the benefits it provides to both the interns and our municipal departments."

This program is open to all area college students enrolled in various courses of study. Although preference is given to Marlborough residents, other college students can apply. The deadline for applications is April 24.
