Marlborough Coronavirus Death Toll Reaches 50
But the number of active coronavirus cases in Marlborough was down to a more than two-month low as of Monday.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — The number of coronavirus deaths in Marlborough rose by two over the weekend, bringing the city's total to 50 so far during the pandemic — but data show the virus is slowing in the area.
As of Monday, there were 101 active cases in the city, a low dating back to the beginning of April, long before the virus peaked. Active cases reached a peak of about 279 during the week of May 24, but have been steadily falling ever since.
Over the course of the pandemic, Marlborough has seen 954 total cases. Of those, 803 people have made a full recovery, according to city health officials.

On Monday, the state reported 38 new deaths and 193 cases of coronavirus, bringing the totals to 7,353 and 103,626, respectively. See the full report here.
