Marlborough Coronavirus Update: 20+ New Cases Over Weekend
Marlborough's overall case count is growing, but so are the number of people who have recovered from the virus.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The number of new coronavirus cases in Marlborough grew by more than 20 between April 3 and April 6, and the number of people who have recovered from the virus more than doubled in that time.
As of Monday afternoon, Marlborough health officials had counted 81 total cases, up from 60 on Friday. So far, 21 people have recovered, rising from 8 on Friday. There are now a total of 60 active coronavirus cases in city residents.
The state's total coronavirus case count rose by 1,365 on Tuesday to a total of 15,202. There were also 96 new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 356.

City health officials are passing on advice about wearing face coverings. The Centers for Disease Control is now recommending that everyone wear some kind of face covering while out in public, especially in places like grocery stores. The coverings are meant to prevent asymptomatic people from spreading coronavirus.
