Marlborough Delaying Water, Sewer Bills Due To Coronavirus
Marlborough property owners will get a reprieve as the coronavirus pandemic brings economic uncertainty.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough residents will get an extra two months to pay water and sewer bills as the new coronavirus pandemic also brings economic uncertainty.
Bills due in March and April will be due in May and June, respectively, city officials said Monday.
"This extension will give additional time to pay these bills due to the trying times brought forth by the COVID-19 outbreak," Mayor Arthur Vigeant and Public Works Commissioner John Ghiloni said in a news release. "If your bill was due in March it is now due on the same day in May, April bills will now be due in June."

Marlborough will also offer residents a break on refuse disposal. Through the end of April, you won't need a sticker to dispose of yard waste, trash, and recycling at the transfer station, 865 Boston Post Road. You will need to show proof that you live in Marlborough by showing your license and registration, however. Residents will be allowed four biodegradable yard waste bags and one garbage bag per day.
Last week, Marlborough officials said they would hold off on charging late fees on car excise taxes. Residents can pay their bill as lat as April 30 without the $15 late penalty.
