Marlborough Extends Vehicle Excise Tax Payment Deadline Again
For the second time during the coronavirus pandemic, Marlborough is giving residents more time to pay car taxes.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — Car owners in Marlborough will get an extra month to pay vehicle excise taxes, Mayor Arthur Vigeant announced Tuesday.
This is the second time the city has extended the car tax deadline. Late fees on bills due on March 20 were initially extended until April 30. Now, residents won't get a demand letter if bills are paid before June 5.
Vigeant has also delayed the property tax due date to June 1. Property tax bills were supposed to be due by May 1. The tax payment delays are meant to help city residents who are struggling due to the coronavirus pandemic.
