Marlborough Food Drive Returns For MLK Day Weekend
The Marlborough Democratic City Committee's quarterly drive began one year ago on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Marlborough Democratic City Committee will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its quarterly food drive effort with a new food drive.
Over the 2021 Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, the Marlborough Democrats held a successful food drive — with some 2,500 pounds of food collected — that has since turned into a quarterly affair. The Democrats held subsequent drives in March and September.
The next drive will take place on Saturday ahead of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, which is typically set aside as a day of service. This year's effort comes in the third calendar year of the coronavirus pandemic, when many local families are still struggling to make ends meet.
