Marlborough Fundraiser Aids Firefighters After Financial Hit
Two Marlborough firefighters have been left struggling after their father, who is battling cancer, lost his job.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Marlborough firefighters union will hold a fundraiser in March for two members who are trying to support their father as he battles cancer.
The Marlborough Local 1714 will hold an event on March 25 to help firefighters Mike and Dan Burnell. Their father, Mike, recently lost his job in the midst of cancer treatments, according to the union.
Ahead of the fundraiser, the Local 1714 is accepting donations for the Burnell family, as well as raffle prizes for the event.
